Sophie brings over 20 years of experience specialising in privacy, technology and IP law. Combining a highly commercial lens with deep expertise on all aspects of privacy and cyber security law, Sophie provides practical advice to clients across the spectrum of information security and privacy, from incident response to data-driven transactions.
Sophie co-chairs the International Association of Privacy Professionals KnowledgeNet for Brisbane and Gold Coast and is a member of the Queensland Law Society’s Privacy and Data Committee.
Anna Johnston
Partner - Privacy
Anna is one of Australia’s most respected experts in privacy law and practice. With her qualifications in law, public policy and management, and over 30 years’ experience in legal, policy, research and consulting roles, Anna brings a breadth of perspectives and a wealth of experience to dealing with our clients’ privacy and data governance challenges.
Throughout her career, Anna has provided advice on managing privacy risks to clients including tech start-ups, established businesses and government agencies. As the former Deputy Privacy Commissioner for NSW, Anna also brings a unique insight into privacy from the regulator’s perspective.
